So much grey for being on the cusp of Spring...

Squinty McGee... How do real models shoot in the sun?
 Its OVERCAST here!!
Well, I had totally planned to wear my new killer Addition Elle dress on Monday... and then my alarm didn't go off. So, instead, I threw on this outfit. But, fear not, the Dress will make an appearance soon enough. In case you were worried...

What is this anyway, a cape? A poncho?Capes were huge not too long ago. But I don't know if you are going to find that many of them out in the stores now. Ponchos on the other hand, are still on the scene in a big way. I purchased this bad boy at Sears. Its a Jessica.

I think it was ridiculously on sale too... This through-belted poncho thing I see all over the place now though.  And I think, if I do say so myself, that it can be quite flattering. I wore this to a party recently, and someone asked me if I had lost some weight. Sadly no weight loss, but gladly, the sweater/poncho is very flattering! To bring it back into relevancy a little, in case the cape-ness of it is a bit dated, I've paired it with my yellow statement necklace. Yellow, hot for Spring 2013, statement necklaces, hot right now. I love how a simple statement necklace can totally elevate a look. It sure did for this one.

Work it!

One of my dear friends is starting a new job where for the first time she has to dress professionally. The good thing is that there are plenty of tasty choices out there for the discerning working woman. I found a few great pieces made just for the fuller figure. If you are on the working gear hunt, I would check out Talbots, for they have 75% wool pants, blazers and skirts.

Glossybox.ca December 2012

Let me just open with "better later than never"... although, perhaps not with this post. So, its mid-January, and I just posting the Glossybox December. I will say that I have some good reasons though.
First, I didn't receive it until I got back from my Califormia vacation, and then I had some sh!t to take care of, being that I had been gone for almost 2 weeks. But, I am now ready to share pics, and initial reactions. Unlike my last Glossybox post, I haven't even had a chance to try these things yet.

Here goes:

Glossybox.ca (November 2012)

In my travels across the internet, I have come across this fabulous thing. You pay a company a nominal fee every month, and in turn, they send you a box full of goodies.
While there are many of these companies out there, I ended up going with Glossybox because they had a .ca after their name. I know they actually service many countries, from the US to Australia, but anything that I don't have to pay extra shipping or duties for is all right with me.
So, after signing up in the beginning of November (the 12th I think) I received my Glossybox on November 30. Not sure if thats pretty typical, or if its just because I signed up mid-month, but from what I've read on-line, everyone received their November box at the end of the month.
I was a little worried, because I am not one to splash money around (since I don't have all that much spare floating around) and I didn't want to feel that I had wasted it. Which I would have if I got a box full of products that I didn't like.
Fortunately, I was quite pleased with pretty much everything that I got! A lot of full-sized items!
